Selected for the Governor's Case in 2012, the 2008 vintage of our Meritage is a beautifully complex wine. The nose is a complex alchemy of blueberry, plum, cherry, and a hint of fig. Linden flower and a persistent minerality balances with delicate empyreumatic flavor expressed through notes of toffee and leather. The attack is supple and opens onto a nice, full mouth-feel. Flavors of musk and a hint of sandalwood and dark fruits open onto a long, spicy finish.
